The court will issue the application and send it to your spouse or civil partner, who will be asked to confirm they have received it.
If the application can proceed, the court will make a Conditional Order. After the required waiting period, you can apply for the Final Order, which legally ends the marriage. We will guide you through each stage and explain what you need to do and when.
